    Male business travelers finding new uses for hotel parking lots

    TORONTO, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - Canadian CEOs may be pleasantly surprised by
the lengths their employees will go to impress clients while on the road. A
recent national survey of male business travelers, conducted on behalf of
Holiday Inn(R) hotels, showed that not only are they missing out on the
comforts of their home or office, they are using extreme measures to score big
in those business meetings. Anything from conducting conference calls in their
cars to washing clothes in the sink and running down the hall looking for the
right pair of shoes can be a daily occurrence. Holiday Inn hotels wants to
ease the minds of both CEOs and travelers by showcasing business and hotel
amenities that are reliable and effective in both getting the job done and
remaining comfortable while on the road.

    
    The following are key findings of the survey:

    -   The top business amenity that respondents need while on the road
        is high-speed internet in their rooms
    -   While the majority of respondents indicated that eating well and
        working out on the road is important, more than 75 per cent said
        that their regular down time consisted of lounging in their rooms
        and watching TV
    -   More than 75 per cent of respondents said that connecting with
        home at least once a day was a top priority while traveling for
        business
    -   Respondents cited that when booking a hotel for business travel,
        they consistently look for a reliable and functional business
        centre.
    

    "Our survey showed that Canadian business travelers really do care about
getting the job done well while traveling." said Christine Boon, Director,

    Respondents indicated that connecting with home, eating right, great
service and reliable business amenities are essential when booking a hotel for

Internet access in every room, as well as a full service restaurant and an
on-time room service guarantee. "Our hotels allow our guests to really make
