Peter Hunt becomes General Manager and Donna Pincott joins as
Senior Vice President
CALGARY, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Hill & Knowlton Canada (H&K) today announced
the appointment of Peter Hunt to the position of senior vice president and
general manager, Alberta and Donna Pincott to the position of senior vice
president, Calgary. With extensive backgrounds in the oil and gas and
telecommunications sectors, respectively, and breadth of communications and
public affairs expertise, they will provide senior counsel to the diverse
clients of H&K's Calgary and Edmonton offices, and across the country.
With offices in Calgary and Edmonton, Hill & Knowlton Alberta offers full
service public relations and public affairs support to clients in oil and gas,
entertainment and culture, travel and tourism, and many other sectors. The
Alberta team is also a Canadian centre of excellence for preparedness and
management of crisis and issue-related communications. Housed in the Calgary
office as well is H&K Result, Hill & Knowlton's annual report and financial
communications and print production company.
"As Alberta continues to grow into a major North American business
centre, our clients are demanding world class resources with experience in
local, national and international business communications," said Michael
Coates, president and CEO, Hill & Knowlton Canada. "Both Peter and Donna have
a deep understanding of the dynamics of this marketplace and along with their
tremendous experience, bring valued relationships to our organization. We are
confident that our clients and the professionals in our Alberta offices will
benefit from these strong additions to our team."
Peter has more than 30 years of experience in the oil, gas and
electricity sectors, including 20 years with Shell UK and Shell International,
and four years at ConocoPhillips. He joins H&K from ENMAX, the leading
electricity utility in Alberta's deregulated marketplace, where he served as
Vice President, Public Affairs, and where at various times he oversaw all
aspects of communications and government relations. In addition to the
traditional elements of corporate communications and reputation management,
Peter also has a passion for digital communications and stakeholder engagement
where he has deployed numerous programs in consultation and relationship
building. His background complements the current strengths of the company in
these areas, coast-to-coast.
With expertise across a variety of sectors, and experience in both
corporate and agency environments in Calgary, Donna's insights in helping
clients succeed in this competitive marketplace are invaluable. Donna has an
especially deep background in telecommunications, where she most recently led
corporate communications for Bell's Western Canada operations. In that
capacity she was a member of the President's management team where she
provided strategic counsel and executive support related to employee, media
and stakeholder issues, and led a communications team that leveraged Bell's
Vancouver 2010 Olympic partnership, Calgary Stampede and Edmonton Oilers
sponsorships, as well as a variety of community investment initiatives.
Prior to that she was vice president and managing director of the Alberta
office for a national public affairs agency.
With Peter's arrival as general manager in Alberta, Jane Savidant,
previously interim general manager, assumes the role of chairman, H&K Result.
Hill & Knowlton acquired Result, Calgary's oldest corporate communications
firm, in 2006 creating a new Hill & Knowlton division specializing in
financial communications products and services. Jane founded Result in 1981.
