LAS VEGAS, NV, April 10 /CNW/ - (OTCbb: HMSO, Frankfurt: XZA) Hemis
Corporation (the 'Company') is pleased to announce it has finalized the
initial exploration phase on the El Tigre concession. El Tigre is a gold
exploration project near the southeastern border of the Mexican state of
Sonora. Initial exploration work has yielded positive indications.
The project area is noted for its broad zones of breccia developed in
volcanic rhyolite. Over 170 samples have been analyzed by ALS ChemEx resulting
in the identification of five primary target areas where the breccias coincide
with gold mineralization.
Silicified Knob - Most of the samples collected contained geochemically
anomalous values of gold. This is encouraging for an area distant from any
El Tigre Monument - Sheared ryholite and breccia are found around adits
and prospect pits west of the location monument. Numerous samples containing
potentially ore-grade material were assayed.
Main Pit - Samples from the Main Pit area were consistently anomalous
including some with very high values. Hemis geologist Dr. Douglas Oliver
comments "This is very encouraging and represents the most promising target on
El Tigre East - This is an area of breccia east of El Tigre monument with
a few small workings. As at the Silicified Knob, geochemically anomalous gold
values were found.
Eastern High Ridge - This is further to the east and is along the roadway
near the La Centela claim. Two large underground workings occur on what is
interpreted to be the same breccia zone. Samples taken from breccias within
the workings contain potentially ore-grade values of gold.
Surface sampling suggests that potential ore grades over minable widths
may occur within these target areas. Average grades are 0.63 g/T in the Main
Pit and 2.60 g/T Au in the Eastern High Ridge areas. Those grades are of
economic interest if they continue at depth. Hemis geologist Dr. Oliver is
quoted as saying "We are definitely in the right neighborhood - we just need
to find the correct address!"
Dr. Oliver is currently on the El Tigre property leading the Company's
2007 spring exploration program.
