MONTREAL, Feb. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Help On Line Consulting Group announced
today that an extensive security review by KPMG has confirmed the viability of
the security controls of its Web site. Over the past few months, KPMG effected
an external intrusion test, engaged in a security audit of the Canadian Web
site Help On Line and recommended upgrades in order to ensure high quality
standards. Help On Line is very proud to announce that upon completion, the
KPMG review confirmed that the Web site was effectively protected. This review
is essential for Help On Line, as it must ensure total confidentiality to the
professionals that use the service as it complies with protection of client /
professional privileges.
"Not only is Help On Line the first Web portal in Canada to offer health
professionals the possibility to consult on-line, but we are also proud to be
able to confirm the service safe and secure," said François Lefort, M.Ps.,
psychologist and founder of Help On Line.
Philippe Mancini, PMP, CISA, Director, Consulting services at the
Montreal offices of KPMG, confirmed the quality of the security controls of
the Help On Line Web portal. "As of the end date of our work on the site, we
concluded definitively that the application and infrastructure security of
Help On Line conforms to the control objectives regarding content
confidentiality and integrity."
KPMG consultants regularly do security control work for financial
institutions, on-line lotteries, distribution chains and health organizations.
"The KPMG IT security experts were very stringent with their intrusion tests
on the Help On Line site. They ensured the quality of the controls that
protect the security and the confidentiality of the portal through the use of
tools and methods that are at the cutting edge of technology," said François
Lefort.
