HELLO! Canada magazine is a star at newsstands across the country (and in subscribers' mailboxes)



    TORONTO, Aug. 11 /CNW/ - HELLO! Canada magazine has tripled its
circulation in the less than 18 months since its much-anticipated launch
according to the numbers released today by the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
Highlights from the six-month audit period from January to June 2008 include
two separate issues of the magazine-featuring exclusives from the Autumn Kelly
and Peter Phillips wedding - that sold well-over 100,000 copies. The
magazine's paid circulation including subscriptions and single copy sales has
surpassed an average of 75,000 each week.
    "HELLO! Canada is undoubtedly the most successful magazine launch in
recent Canadian history," said Tracey McKinley, Executive Publisher. "The
numbers speak for themselves. Clearly, Canadians are enjoying the
unprecedented access to celebrities' lives that HELLO! provides."
    Published weekly, HELLO!'s visually stunning and respectful approach to
international celebrity content has allowed the magazine to repeatedly surpass
its circulation guarantee to advertisers. Earlier this year, HELLO! Canada was
recognized with the 2007 Magazine of the Year award by The News Group - a
periodical supplier with more than a 50 per cent share of the Canadian market.
HELLO! Canada is the country's number one magazine at newsstand. The issue due
to arrive on newsstands on Aug. 21 will also be a record-breaker for the
magazine in terms of advertising sales.
