HEC Montréal, Canada's Oldest Business School, Opens the Toronto Stock Exchange

    MONTREAL, Nov. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - In conjunction with HEC Montréal's 100th
anniversary celebrations, Michel Patry, the School's Director, opened trading
at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) this morning. This is the first time in
the history of the TSX that a Quebec business school has been invited to take
part in this ritual in the trading community.
"Ours was Canada's first business school, founded in 1907, yet despite
its 100-year history it is still not well enough known in the Toronto
community. Our 100th anniversary is the perfect time to develop new projects
and partnerships and forge closer bonds," said HEC Montréal Director, Michel
Patry.
HEC Montréal will move into position for the market opening ceremony at
approximately 9:27 a.m. and the markets will open with the sound of a siren at
9:30 a.m. Media may pick up a live feed from the TOC (television operations
centre) for the market opening ceremony. The feed is named TSX Transmit 2 and
is produced at the TSX.
