Health professionals sought for local advisory committee



    South West LHIN accepting applications for new Health Professionals
    Advisory Committee until September 28

    LONDON, ON, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - The South West LHIN is establishing a Health
Professionals Advisory Committee of volunteers from a range of health care
professions and communities across the area. This multi-disciplinary committee
will be responsible for providing advice to the LHIN on how to achieve
patient-centred health care and further develop the leadership role of health
professionals in promoting integrated health care delivery. Each LHIN is
required to establish its own Health Professionals Advisory Committee under
the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006.

"Get involved."

    The South West LHIN is a crown agency responsible for planning,
integrating and funding more than 150 health service providers, including
hospitals, long-term care homes, mental health and addictions agencies,
community support services, community health centres, and the South West CCAC.
The LHIN covers an area from Lake Erie to the Bruce Peninsula and is home to
almost one million people.
