Hatch Energy wins services contract for Fort Hills ore preparation plant



    CALGARY, June 12 /CNW/ - Hatch Energy has been awarded the Front-End
Engineering Design (FEED) services contract for the Fort Hills ore preparation
plant silo in one the largest remaining undeveloped oil sands leases in the
Athabasca Region of Alberta, Canada.
    Fort Hills Oil Sands Inc. project partners are Petro-Canada, with a
working interest of 55 percent, UTS Energy (30 percent) and Teck Cominco (15
percent).
    Hatch Energy drew on its global mining resources in Calgary and
Vancouver, Santiago, Chile and Brisbane, Australia to put together the
plant-silo team.
    The team has significant experience in bulk-materials handling and will
undertake all phases of the ore-preparation plant silo.
    The ore preparation part of the project kicked off on May 14, 2007, and
is scheduled for completion in 2011.
