Award-winning manager's partnership with Black Creek's Bill Kanko
creates formidable global equity expertise for Hartford Mutual Funds
TORONTO, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Hartford Investments Canada Corp. ("Hartford
Investments"), the manager of Hartford Mutual Funds, has expanded its funds
sub-advised by Black Creek Investment Management Inc. ("Black Creek") with the
introduction of Hartford International Equity Fund. Award-winning portfolio
manager Richard Jenkins is lead manager of the fund. Mr. Jenkins has also been
named lead manager of global equities on Hartford Global Balanced Fund. Black
Creek founder Bill Kanko will continue to be lead manager of Hartford Global
Leaders Fund and will support Mr. Jenkins on Hartford International Equity
Fund and Hartford Global Balanced Fund.

Hartford International Equity Fund's investment objective is to seek
long-term capital growth by investing primarily in equity securities of
companies located outside of Canada and the U.S. The fund may invest in small,
medium and large companies located in developed and emerging markets. Under
this broad mandate, Mr. Jenkins will seek the best companies regardless of
sector or market capitalization.
Mr. Jenkins joined Black Creek on July 1, 2008. Born in Edmonton, he
began his career as an investment analyst in 1986. From 1994 to 2008, Mr.
Jenkins worked at AIM Trimark (now Invesco Trimark) where he was lead manager
for a number of mutual funds including: Trimark Select Growth Fund; Trimark
Europlus Fund, which under his tenure won Best European Equity Fund at the
2004 Canadian Investment Awards; and Trimark Global Balanced Fund, winner of
the Global Balanced Fund of the Year for three straight years (2004-2006).
