Halton Man Arrested for Importing 3.5 Kilograms of Heroin



    BURLINGTON, ON, Sept. 26 /CNW/ - On September 24, 2008, as a result of a
joint investigation with the Halton Regional Police Service, the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police, Greater Toronto Area Drug Section and Canada Border
Services Agency, a Burlington man was arrested for allegedly importing
approximately 3.5 Kilograms of Heroin into Canada. A Glendor Avenue residence
in Burlington was searched as a result of this investigation.

    
    Charged is:

    Dino GIAMMARCO, 44, Burlington, Ontario
    1 count of conspiracy to import
    

    The RCMP Greater Toronto Area Drug Section works to identify, target,
investigate, disrupt and dismantle the international, national/regional and
local drug trafficking organizations that are having the most significant
impact in Canada. The aim is to prevent the importation, production, traffic
and use of illicit drugs.
