Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission Announces That It Has Ceased To Be a Reporting Issuer in the Province of British Columbia

HALIFAX, Dec. 21 /CNW/ - The Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission (the
"Commission") announced today that effective Monday, December 17, 2007, the
Commission has ceased to be a reporting issuer in the Province of British
Columbia. On December 4, 2007, the Toll Revenue Bond Series 1, issued by the
Commission in 1997, matured and was cancelled. This was the only security
issued by the Commission.
On December 6, 2007, the Commission submitted written notice, pursuant to
BC Instrument 11-502, for the voluntary surrender of its reporting issuer
status in the Province of British Columbia. This notice stated that, effective
December 17, 2007, the Commission would cease to be a reporting issuer in the
Province of British Columbia. In a letter dated December 18, 2007, the British
Columbia Securities Commission confirmed that effective December 17, 2007, the
Commission ceased to be a reporting issuer in the Province of British
Columbia.
Since there are now no outstanding securities or security holders of the
Commission, the Commission intends to make application to the securities
regulatory authority in each of the other jurisdictions in which it is a
reporting issuer, to cease to be a reporting issuer. Such applications will be
made in the provinces of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, New
Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Upon completion of these
applications, the Commission will no longer be a reporting issuer in any
jurisdiction and will no longer be subject to any of the continuous disclosure
obligations of reporting issuers. A final news release will be issued at this
time.
