MONTREAL, April 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Three Quebec companies have been
recognized today among the top 25 best workplaces in Canada according to a
prestigious survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada.
D.L.G.L. (Blainville), Randstad (Ville Saint-Laurent) and Quintiles Canada
(Ville Saint-Laurent) have ranked respectively 4th, 14th and 25th among the 75
selected companies across Canada.
This year, the survey has also selected Canada's Best Workplaces for
Women. Again, Randstad came in 5th and Quintiles Canada, in 7th place.
"A great workplace is one where you trust the people you work for, have
pride in what you do, and enjoy the people you work with," said Jose Tolovi
Neto, director of the Great Place to Work Institute Canada. Trust is the
cornerstone of quality employment and performance excellence. Based on this
fundamental value, the survey evaluates company candidates on five
trust-building dimensions found in all the best workplaces: credibility,
respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
What's more, organizational leaders who develop a high level of TRUST
with their employees see stronger employee performance, which often translates
into stronger company performance. The U.S. version of the survey shows that,
even with this year's economic crisis, while S&P (Standard & Poor's) has
allowed an average of 1.04% yearly gain, the best companies averaged 6.80%!
