Goreway thermal power plant goes into commercial operation



    OAKVILLE, ON, June 11, 2009 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin Power Ontario, a
wholly owned subsidiary of SNC-Lavalin, is pleased to announce that Goreway
Station Partnership's 880 MW Goreway Power Station is now in commercial
operation. Testing has been completed and the plant is dispatching power to
the Ontario grid. Goreway Station Partnership is a wholly owned affiliate of
Sithe Global Power, LLC. The Goreway Power Station was constructed under a
turn-key engineering procurement and construction agreement with SNC-Lavalin
Power Ontario Inc.
    Located in Brampton near Toronto, Ontario, Goreway is now the largest and
most technologically advanced gas-fired thermal power station in Canada.
