Camp construction underway. Drill program to start this week.
VANCOUVER, Feb. 20 /CNW/ - Goldmember Minerals Inc. (TSX.V: "GMV") ("the
Company" or "Goldmember") is pleased to announce that it has received the
necessary permits for its Phase I diamond drilling program on its 100% owned
Alexis Creek gold property, west of Williams Lake, B.C.
The Company has contracted Westcore Drilling of Hope, B.C. to drill the
property with a Phase I program comprising 2,000 metres in 4-8 holes and will
test both high chargeability and high resistivity targets. It is anticipated
that the drilling will take up to one month to complete. The core diameter
will be NQ.
Crews are on site and have completed the following activities:
1. Plow 60 kilometres of access road to access camp and drill sites
2. Spot the first 4 drill holes and access roads
3. Refurbish and expand the existing exploration camp to accommodate
The grid is currently being expanded with linecutting crews establishing
lines to the northeast and southwest of the open-ended chargeability anomaly.
The drill is scheduled to depart Hope, BC on Feb 20, 2008 with drilling to
commence by Feb. 23, 2008.
Drill core samples will be tested at ALS Chemex facility in North
Vancouver, BC. The Company will complete a standard multi-element ICP analysis
with the addition of gold by fire assay of a 30-gram pulp. Any silver and base
metals (copper, lead, zinc) that exceed the ICP method detection limit will be
analysed by more precise assay methods.
In addition to this work on the Alexis property, linecutting crews are
currently working on the Nechako property, completing the grid extensions to
grids 2 and 3. A ground magnetic survey is underway on the existing lines on
grids 2 and 3 and will include the grid expansions. The drill will move from
the Alexis property to the Nechako property where the Company plans to drill
2,500-3,000 metres of NQ sized core in 6-10 holes, testing both high
resistivity and high chargeability targets.

Goldmember Minerals Inc.
Goldmember Minerals Inc. is a mineral exploration company focused
primarily on epithermal style gold and silver projects in central British
Columbia. The Company is well financed having recently completed its
qualifying transaction and concurrent financing of C$2,545,000.
Goldmember has amassed a sizeable land position upon which it has
completed an extensive amount of work to date. Recent exploration programs
conducted on the 100% owned Nechako and Alexis Properties have successfully:
identified several corresponding conductivity and related resistivity
geophysical anomalies located at depth which display the characteristics of an
epithermal style mineralized body; confirmed a positive correlation with MMI
geochemical sampling and 3D Induced Polarization results within a favourable
geological setting; and identified numerous priority targets within the claim
boundaries that coincide with regional geophysical trends with coincidental
geochemical anomalies suitable to host further epithermal gold-silver and
porphyry copper-gold style mineralization.
