New restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls to be the ultimate Chinese
NIAGARA FALLS, ON, April 26 /CNW/ - At 2pm on Sunday, May 6, Fallsview
Casino Resort will officially unveil its latest amenity - the unique and very
authentic Chinese restaurant Golden Lotus.
Built with curved glass walls that mimic the sweeping arc of the famous
Horseshoe Falls located just outside, Golden Lotus will feature a menu of more
than 180 different dishes ranging from authentic Chinese delicacies like
shark's fin and swallow nest to North American favorites like spring rolls and
wonton soup. Golden Lotus will also offer lunch and dinner buffets as well as
a special Chinese room-service menu for guests of the resort's hotel.
The menu will cover a variety of Chinese culinary styles, including
Cantonese, Peking, Shanghai and Szechuan.
"This restaurant is the next piece in the Fallsview puzzle as we evolve
to meet the desires of our customers," said Greg Medulun, Fallsview's Public
Relations Manager. "Golden Lotus will offer the same attention to fresh
ingredients, culinary excellence and customer service that our patrons have
come to expect from 17 Noir - our other signature restaurant - but with an
incredible Chinese flair."

The Golden Lotus and its remarkable menu have been designed by renowned
Chinese restaurateur Paul So, who has been responsible for some of the finest
Chinese restaurants in Ontario and China during a culinary career spanning
more than three decades.
"I consider this restaurant my magnum opus," says So, recently named
Fallsview's new Director of Asian Restaurants. "I feel that my entire career
has been leading up to the creation of the Golden Lotus at Fallsview Casino
Resort. I have a very knowledgeable staff and we plan to make the food as
spectacular as the view of Niagara Falls from our windows."
The regular hours of operation for Golden Lotus will be 11am to 2am on
weekdays and 10am to 2am on weekends and holidays.

feature a traditional Chinese lion dance, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a
