VANCOUVER, Sept. 25 /CNW/ - Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. (GOM: TSX-V) (the
"Company") announced today that the first drill hole on the SOM porphyry
copper anomaly was completed by Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. on September 23rd,
2007 at 453 metres.
Diamond drill hole SOM-07-01 was located to test a strong IP
chargeability high coincident with a gossan and an adjacent geochemical
anomaly. The SOM anomaly is centrally located on Golden Dawn's SWAN claims in
the Toodoggone district of northern B.C.
Porphyry-style veining, alteration and copper, molybdenum, zinc and lead
mineralization were observed throughout the drill core. Assays, from Eco Tech
Laboratory Ltd., of Kamloops, B.C., are pending.
The second drill hole in the campaign was collared September 24, 2007, on
the same anomaly, 110 metres to the north of SOM-07-01.
The Qualified Person for the project and author of this news release is
Kenneth M. Dawson, Ph.D., P.Geo. Dr. Dawson has worked in the Toodoggone
region over a period of thirty years.
