TORONTO, Aug. 12, 2009 /CNW/ - GO Transit will once again run additional
service to this year's CNE beginning opening day, Friday, August 21, 2009,
until Labour Day, Monday September 7, 2009. Train service will also be
available for The Canadian International Air Show which wraps up the CNE on
Labour Day weekend.
New this year, GO's seasonal, weekend customers from Niagara Falls and
St. Catharines can get on the GO to the Ex. Some Niagara weekend and holiday
train trips will make stops at Exhibition GO Station. Full schedule details
are available at gotransit.com in the Schedules section.
For customer convenience, tickets to the CNE will be available for
purchase at Union Station or any Lakeshore line station, including Niagara
Falls and St. Catharines. To celebrate Toronto's 175th birthday, the CNE is
offering $1.75 admission on opening day, Friday, August 21.
GO Transit is also proud to recognize our war veterans with free travel
for themselves and a companion to and from this year's Warriors' Day Parade at
the CNE, Saturday, August 22, 2009. Immediate family members of deceased
