GO Transit cleans up Toronto to celebrate Earth Day

TORONTO, April 20, 2007 /CNW/ - GO Transit wants to remind Torontonians
to take 20 minutes this afternoon to participate in the 20-Minute Toronto
Makeover.
"We support Mayor David Miller's efforts to keep this great city looking
beautiful," said Peter Smith, GO's Chairman. "It's not every day you can get
your hands dirty for such a good cause." GO Transit is participating in the
20-Minute Toronto Makeover for the third consecutive year.
The City of Toronto is supplying a crew to assist in the cleanup of
property around the Union Station GO Bus Terminal. The event is scheduled for
2 p.m.
GO also wants to celebrate Earth Day by thanking its customers for making
responsible travel choices. Volunteers will hand out environmentally friendly
thank you gifts starting at 3 p.m., at the Union Station GO Bus Terminal.
The 20-Minute Toronto Makeover is part of Mayor David Miller's Community
Clean-up Day and complements Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22.
