GlassBOX Television Launches Music Television Channel on Rogers Cable This Fall

AUX Expands From a Web Destination to a Full 24-hour Music TV Channel

TORONTO, June 17 /CNW/ - GlassBOX Television will launch its
cross-platform AUX music channel as a new digital specialty on Rogers Cable
this fall. AUX launched last November as a video-rich Web destination at
www.aux.tv. Currently, viewers can tune in online or watch AUX programming
during a weekly two-hour sneak peek Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on BiteTV, GlassBOX
Television's award winning multi-platform channel.
AUX is Canada's music discovery destination. Now with broad-based
television carriage, AUX is 'Real Music Television,' bringing its audience
music-themed journalism, current affairs, news, charts, videos, films and
documentaries focused on the best rising artists and renowned musical
groundbreakers from Canada and around the world. GlassBOX Television received
CRTC approval for a category 2 specialty television license for AUX this past
March.
"We are delighted to be launching AUX on Rogers as a key next step in our
strategy to bring our unique brand of music television to audiences across
Canada," said Raja Khanna, Co-CEO GlassBOX Television and Founder and
President of AUX. "We've had tremendous reaction from the music industry,
artists and viewers on the important void AUX is filling. Canada is a hotbed
of musical talent, innovation and culture and we are bringing that energy to
screens across the country."
AUX will debut on Rogers Digital VIP, a service enjoyed by the majority
of Rogers Digital Cable subscribers. It will be available at no extra cost to
Digital VIP subscribers, with placement on the same tier as some of Canada's
most popular digital specialty channels; one of which is GlassBOX Television's
BiteTV, recently added to the Rogers Digital VIP package. BiteTV is currently
available on Rogers channel 322. BiteTV is also available on a host of other
television service providers across Canada including Bell TV, Cogeco, Telus
and others.
ExploreMusic with Alan Cross, interview and current music events show
Volume, MasterTracks hosted by acclaimed producer Moe Berg, and urban music
magazine show Cypher are just some of the AUX original series on AUX. AUX is
also partnered with two of Canada's most trusted music authorities, bringing
Exclaim! TV's Garageland and CBC Radio 3's R3TV to all AUX platforms along
with special AUX reports on music news and events from around the world. Stay
tuned to www.aux.tv for details about the launch this fall.
