Gibson's presents the finest in CFL

Announcing the 2008 nominees for the Gibson's Finest Canadian Player
    Award

TORONTO, July 31 /CNW/ - Nothing displays true Canadian pride like CFL
athletes and the fans that adore them. Every fan has a favourite player and
that's why the Canadian Football League (CFL) and Gibson's Finest Canadian
whisky are calling on fans to vote for the 2008 Gibson's Finest Canadian
Player, the CFL announced today.
Returning for a third straight year, the Gibson's Finest Canadian Player
program nominates eight Canadian CFL players, recognizing their hard work and
dedication on and off the field. The winning player is selected by CFL fans by
voting online at CFL.ca. A donation of $10,000 will be made to the winning
player's charity of choice, and the player himself will receive a trophy to
mark the honour. Voting begins on July 24, 2008 and runs until October 17,
2008.
When fans register to vote online at CFL.ca, they are automatically
entered into Grand Prize and weekly draws. The Grand Prize winner receives a
three-night trip for four to the 2008 Grey Cup game. Valued at approximately
$10,000 (Cdn), the prize includes a round trip flight to Montreal,
three-nights accommodation, four tickets to the 2008 Grey Cup game and select
Grey Cup Festival events, and four Grey Cup game clothing packages. There will
also be a random draw for fifteen weekly prizes consisting of Gibson's Finest
Canadian Player sweatshirts. There is a limit of one entry per email address
per day. The winner of the Gibson's Finest Canadian Player 2008 will be
announced during Grey Cup week.
