building was awarded LEED-EB (LEED Existing Building) Certification through
the US Green Building Council (USGBC) on February 14, 2008. This is the FIRST
such certification in Ontario, and the FIRST GE site globally, to achieve

1. An ENERGY STAR rating 20% higher than the average existing building.
2. A "GREEN" cleaning program, and purchase Green Certified products
3. A 5 year program that will reduce energy consumption up to 1.7MM KWH.
4. A Recycling Program and ZERO WASTE Policy, which has increased
recycling content from 48% to 84%
5. A water management program reducing flow fixture water consumption by
an average of 45% equating to 788,437 gallons/yr
6. A preferred parking program for carpooling and hybrid vehicles.
