KitchenAid now available at Future Shop

BURNABY, BC and TORONTO, June 17 /CNW/ - Future Shop, Canada's largest
retailer and e-tailer of consumer electronics, has launched an aggressive
strategy aimed at doubling its market share in appliances. Future Shop is
investing in training and in-store changes to become the preferred shopping
destination for appliances in Canada. Starting June 20, 2008, Future Shop will
add the premium brand KitchenAid to their already expansive appliance
offerings in-store and online.
"Buying an appliance is the third largest purchase the average Canadian
makes after a house and a car," said Michelle Grawe, Director of Merchandising
for Appliances, Future Shop. "Our commitment to our customer is to make
purchasing appliances easier and more enjoyable. To fulfill this commitment,
we are focused on improving the overall appliance shopping experience."

    KitchenAid now at Future Shop

Future Shop is changing its stores with a complete appliance makeover,
moving away from the traditional warehouse look. The addition of KitchenAid
vignettes will allow customers to experience first-hand how KitchenAid
appliances can fit into their lifestyles.
To help customers choose the appliance that best meets their individual
needs, Future Shop has brought in new regional appliance managers and
certified product experts, giving the customer access to more leadership and
trained resources.
"We know that today's customers want more than just a quality appliance,"
said Grawe. "Customers want to experience their appliance, whether it's a
stove or a refrigerator, before they take it home. Future Shop's new
KitchenAid vignettes bring a variety of dream kitchen options to life."
