VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Jan. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - The military funeral of
Warrant Officer Hani Massouh, who died in Afghanistan on January 6, 2008, will
be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17. The ceremony will take place at
Saint-Charles-Garnier Church, located at 1215, Chanoine-Morel Avenue
(intersection of Laurier Blvd) in Quebec.
Citizens that would like to pay tribute to Warrant Officer Massouh will
be able to do so on January 17 all along the funeral procession. The convoy
will leave the Lépine-Cloutier Funeral Home at approximately 1:00 p.m.,
travelling successively on Marguerite-Bourgeois Ave., René-Lévesque Blvd,
Maguire Ave. and Laurier Blvd up to Saint-Charles-Garnier Church. At about
3:15 p.m., the procession will leave the Church and travel on Laurier,
Robert-Bourassa and Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevards up to Saint-Charles Cemetery
(1460, Wilfrid-Hamel Blvd).

Born in Alexandria, in Egypt, Warrant Officer Hani Massouh joined the
Canadian Forces on September 27, 1990. Career infantryman, Hani was a member
of 2 Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, based in Valcartier, Quebec. Hani was 41
years old and was on his sixth mission overseas.
