ANAHEIM, Calif., April 30 /CNW/ -- SERVER BLADE SUMMIT 2007 -- Fujitsu
Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) will exhibit its 20-port, 10 Gigabit
Ethernet (GbE) switch chip at the annual Server Blade Summit Conference
(http://www.serverbladesummit.com) at the Anaheim Marriott, May 1 - 3, 2007. A
company representative will speak on a panel addressing the current trends in
10GbE and server blades.
The Fujitsu MB8AAQ3020 20-port, 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch chip delivers
400+Gbps non-blocking, aggregate switching bandwidth, along with high quality
of service (QoS) capability designed for data center and carrier networks
through state-of-art VLAN virtualization, backward congestion management
notification (BCN) and priority-based PAUSE. Wirespeed switching at full
cross-sectional bandwidth is achieved through a proprietary multi-stream
3Mbyte shared-buffer memory. Users can use either on-chip 10Gbps serial PHYs
available to minimize connectivity for XFP modules, or on-chip PHYs for a CX-4
interface, with Hardware Adaptive equalization. Performance, combined with the
smallest-in-class footprint and low power consumption, makes this device
well-suited for Server Blade applications as well as other bladed
configurations like microTCA, ATCA blade and carrier blade applications.
The MB8AAQ3020 was introduced in August 2006,
(http://www.fujitsu.com/us/news/pr/fma_20060807.html). The display at booth
303 will feature customer boards in blade server applications.
On Wednesday, May 2, from 3:15 to 4 p.m., Asif Hazarika, senior manager
for the Networking Business Group of Fujitsu Microelectronics America, will be
speaking on the panel, Session 309, "Current Trends in 10 Gigabit Ethernet."
