VANCOUVER, April 7 /CNW/ - Free Energy International Inc. ("Free Energy"
or the "Company") has received an order from Devon Energy Corporation, one of
the world's leading independent oil and gas exploration and production
companies, to install Free Energy's patented WH3500N remote wellhead heater
system on eight wells in the Swan Hills area of Alberta. This test program
will confirm the efficiency of the wellhead heater system. The potential
market for this system is hundreds of wells in Canada and northern USA.
The new superconductor powered WH family of wellhead heater products
offers a low cost geothermal alternative to other increasingly more expensive
sources of power such as electricity, propane or natural gas. The WH3500N
system, when used in a conical wellhead shelter with an R-8 insulation factor
or better, will keep the inside temperatures above the freezing point in
temperatures as low as -40 C or F. The WH series 1 1/2 inch diameter super
conductor geothermal rods are drilled vertically 25-30 feet into the ground
beneath the surface of the earth within the covered area thus allowing the
warmer temperatures from below the Earth's surface to be transferred upward.
This heat transfer keeps the sheltered area above freezing temperature. The
natural heat contained below the Earth's surface only transfers to the surface
area when a temperature difference occurs to activate the process thus
ensuring that frost is not driven down into the ground. The Free Energy WH
family of products offer low installation and operating cost as well as many
years (25-30) of trouble free operation.
Win for the environment:
Some of the benefits are, the WH3500 heater requires no external energy,
can be installed anywhere, increases production, reduces maintenance costs,
lowers operating costs and provides the confidence that a producer's wells
will be producing at full capacity in the winter months. Other notable
benefits include adding value to production fields, preserving the life of
field equipment avoiding damage to bordering landscape with vehicle traffic of
maintenance trucks, and a potential for Offset Carbon Credits.
