FNT Launches Community Fee Module to Broaden Capability
CashlessSchools® Strengthens Educational Online Payment System
VANCOUVER & TORONTO, Feb. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - Today First National Technologies Inc. (FNT), a leading Canadian provider of digital payment and revenue management systems for the K-12 education market, announced the release of their Community Fee option which broadens their CashlessSchools® system.
FNT's cloud-based solution has helped Canadian school boards significantly reduce the administrative and cost burden of handling cash & cheques, some by 100%. Specifically, by developing a module that provides the management of payment for a wide variety of items such as, Continuing Education, Facility Rental, Fundraising and Alumni/Community Donation Support, FNT has significantly enhanced and expanded the capability of its leading CashlessSchools system. Furthermore, by adding the ability to generate an official taxable donation receipt, we've closed the circuit to collecting funds online; one stop 'shopping' and, moving to an auditor's 'Unqualified' opinion.
"Our collaboration with the software development teams at 2BI and Vodworks last fall has quickly materialized with the release of the Community Fee module" says John Thiessen, FNT's President. "Our customers will now be able to address yet another difficult area of cash collection with ease, while delivering real-time financial visibility that prevents fraud and makes fund management more efficient."
New features include:
- Fee Creation – Tremendous flexibility in creating a fee for purchase from dynamic description capability, managing options and modifiers, attaching permission/information forms, setting a 'sold out' limit to adding dates for a recurring item throughout the year.
- Integrated Accounting – Electronic upload from CashlessSchools into the school accounting software provides relief accurate and efficient process improvement.
- Automated Taxable Donation Receipt – A secondary tax donation receipt system is no longer required. The Community Fee module provides a Ministry accepted donation receipt capability..
- Real-time payment tracking – Instant purchase details are provided via a diverse set of reports at the individual, school and district level. All payment methods, including cash/cheque, are broken out and balanced, reflecting refunds given throughout the time span selected in a single software solution.
With the recent deployment of CashlessSchools across more than 100 schools in a southern Ontario school district, FNT continues to demonstrate its ability to provide the lowest cost, most efficient payment solution with an integrated POS capability to the K-12 education sector.
