Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's annual Flights of Fantasy

TORONTO, April 5 /CNW/ - The Humber River Regional Hospital Foundation's
annual Flights of Fantasy Gala, held last Saturday at the Paramount Conference
and Event Venue in Woodbridge, hosted a record crowd of 830 people and netted
in excess of $380,000.
"The Flights of Fantasy Gala becomes more extraordinary year after year,
and continues to receive outstanding support from our many loyal friends and
sponsors," said Foundation President Carole Zorzi. "It's wonderful to see how
so many people get into the spirit of this annual signature event."
This year's Gala featured an exquisite evening of Spanish culture;
including a delectable array of cuisine and performances from the world's most
evocative dance: the Flamenco. Live and silent auction items including a trip
to Spain, a G6 Pontiac convertible and luxurious Lamb Spanish Shearling coats
were among the evening's list of highlights. Proceeds raised from this year's
Gala will go towards the Foundation's three-year, $10 million campaign to
purchase an Image Management System (IMS) for Humber River Regional Hospital.
"The overwhelming generosity of our community partners and corporate
sponsors has been unbelievable. It was tremendous to have Scotiabank Group
join us as the Presenting Sponsor," said Zorzi. When you take a few moments to
think about how many businesses and prominent citizens take time to support
our hospital: it is exceptionally gratifying to have that level of dedication
and support. It helps us to be an even better hospital for our patients and
