Final Performers Announced for 2007 JUNO Awards, April 1 on CTV



    Nelly Furtado, DJ Champion and Patrick Watson Round Out All-Canadian

    as host and performer in line-up of 10 musical acts -

    TORONTO, March 5 /CNW/ - Nelly Furtado, Montreal mix master DJ Champion
and art-rock artist Patrick Watson will complete the performance roster for
The 2007 JUNO Awards, it was confirmed today by CTV and the Canadian Academy
of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). The announcement completes an
all-Canadian line-up of 10 dynamic acts for the two-hour broadcast, airing
live on Sunday, April 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV. Internationally renowned
singer/songwriter Nelly Furtado adds a performance slot to her previously
announced hosting duties for the star-studded broadcast from Saskatoon's
Credit Union Centre (see "About Nelly Furtado," "About DJ Champion" and "About
Patrick Watson" below).

    The 2007 JUNO Awards features a diverse musical line-up, including a mix 
of arena rock, hip hop, adult contemporary, alt and art rock, acoustic, pop
and dance music. The 10 performers represent some of Canada's most established
musical acts, as well as international superstars, critical darlings,
independent success stories and up-and-coming stars.

    All of this year's JUNO Awards performers are 2007 JUNO Award nominees:
Alexisonfire (2 nominations), Billy Talent (5 nominations), City and Colour
(1 nomination), DJ Champion (1 nomination), Gregory Charles (3 nominations),
Nelly Furtado (5 nominations), k-os (5 nominations), Three Days Grace
(2 nominations), The Tragically Hip (2 nominations) and Patrick Watson
(1 nomination).

    The 10 acts will play in nine performance slots on the CTV broadcast,
interspersed with the presentation of seven JUNO Awards. Additionally, the
broadcast will feature a tribute to producer Bob Rock who will be inducted
into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
