Fighting Fraud on the Front Lines - A new anti-fraud training kit for retailers



    OTTAWA, March 17 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of Fraud Prevention Month, media
representatives are invited to attend a presentation of a new anti-fraud
training kit for retailers being held by the Bank of Canada in cooperation
with the Ottawa Better Business Bureau, Ottawa Police and Canada Post.
    The new training kit, called Fighting Fraud on the Front Lines includes a
DVD which provides retailers with advice and valuable information about how to
protect themselves against four types of payment fraud: bank note
counterfeiting, payment card crime, cheque and money order fraud, and identity
theft.
    The new DVD will be viewed by accredited members of the Ottawa Better
Business Bureau. The press and retailers in attendance will receive a program
kit with supporting educational resources. Representatives from the Bank of
Canada, Ottawa Police and Canada Post will be available to answer questions on
the new product and on payment fraud.
