ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, Feb. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Fieldex Exploration Inc.
(FLX :TSXV & F7E : Frankfurt ) is pleased to announce that the company has
staked 120 claims totalling over 7000 hectares (70 square kilometres) in the
Lake Simard area in Northern Quebec. The area is along trend from the
company's recent uranium discoveries (see the company's news in Stockwatch
dated Feb. 26, 2008). Fieldex has 100-per-cent ownership of over 600 square
kilometres of copper, nickel, uranium and gold exploration land in the area.
The recent staking is coincident with a prominent radiometric anomaly
surrounding the Simard Lake.
Martin Dallaire, Fieldex president stated; "With this acquisition,
Fieldex is now the biggest land owner in the area which provide us a very
strategic land package in the province of Quebec."
Fieldex is a mineral resource company actively exploring in Quebec for
nickel-copper-platinum group metal deposits located through out Northern
Quebec, representing over 600 km2. FNX Mining Company owns 6 500 000 shares of
Fieldex Exploration Inc.
