Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) chooses new President, Table Officers - Councillor Berry Vrbanovic of Kitchener, Ont., becomes Vice-President at Large



    OTTAWA, June 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Winnipeg Councillor Gord Steeves was
acclaimed President of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) on
June 3 by municipal government delegates attending the 70th Annual Conference
in Calgary, Alta.
    Councillor Steeves is joined on the FCM Executive Committee by First
Vice-President, Mayor Jean Perrault of Sherbrooke, Que.; Second
Vice-President, Mayor Basil Stewart of Summerside P.E.I.; Third
Vice-President, Director Hans Cunningham of the District of Kootenay, B.C.;
and Councillor Berry Vrbanovic of Kitchener, Ont., as Vice-President at Large.

    The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has been the national
voice of municipal governments since 1901.
