Failsafe Canada Inc. adds additional protocols to its world class Carbon Credit ECTracker application.

CALGARY, July 18 /CNW/ - Failsafe Canada Inc. today announced that it has
added three new soils-based protocols to their ECTracker application: "Crop
Residue", "Marginal Cropland Conversion" & "Summerfallow Conversion". These
new protocols complement the existing "No-Till" protocol approved by the
Alberta government. These additional protocols are presently under review and
will be utilized once they are approved by the Alberta government. Failsafe
believes that the application will become the defacto standard for carbon
offset generation across industry verticals. ECTracker manages the entire
lifecycle of a greenhouse gas reduction project. The core elements of this
enterprise solution include:

    - Supply Chain Management
    - Credit creation, serialization and inventory management
    - Financial statements and other financial and operational reports
    - Customer relationship and contract management
    - Data warehousing and data/credit audit trail

This announcement follows Emission Credits Corporation recent statement
announcing the successful sale of approximately 400,000 tonnes of
agricultural-based emission reduction offsets to TransAlta Corporation.
Emission Credits Corporation generated these offsets using the ECTracker
application. The Alberta-based power generator purchased the offsets to comply
with the Alberta Climate Change and Emission Management Act, which came into
effect July 1, 2007. "We could not have reduced our emissions to meet the new
targets without the use of offsets," said Don Wharton, the firm's director of
Sustainable Development. "The company paid no money into the provincial
technology fund, he said, and used only offsets to meet its targets."

Failsafe Canada is the leading system provider for organizations looking
to aggregate agricultural offset credits. Their ECTracker application is a
proven system to create, track, and manage verified emissions reductions
(VERs) within the agriculture sector and will soon be able to handle other
industry verticals such as Bovine, Biofuels, Afforestation, Wind and other
renewable energy markets. Failsafe Canada also provides technology, strategic
consulting, and expert operational services to assist in reducing costs and
improving performance in market operations, system operations support, and
demand response programs. Failsafe is a privately-held company headquartered
in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
