MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 12 /CNW/ - Enersource Corporation announced today
that Gunars Ceksters has decided to step down from the position of President
and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, for health-related reasons.
Craig Fleming, presently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer,
has been appointed Acting President and Chief Executive Officer, and will
assume this additional responsibility leading the management team for the
Corporation, effective immediately.

electricity industry over a 32-year career in the sector, but we fully respect
his decision to place his personal life first and we wish him the very best in

Gunars Ceksters has held the position of President and Chief Executive
Officer of Enersource Corporation, since May 2001. Under his leadership,
Enersource established an extraordinary record for safe, reliable and
efficient delivery of electricity to the Corporation's over
180,000 distribution utility customers and significant growth into
A strong advocate for improved efficiencies within the Ontario
electricity sector, Mr. Ceksters served as Co-Chair of the Government of
Ontario's Electricity Conservation and Supply Task Force, and more recently on
the senior level Provincial steering committee for the implementation of smart
meters in Ontario and on the Board of Directors of the Electricity
Distributors Association (EDA).
