Elster Integrated Solutions Announces Appointment of Ed Gray as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs



    EIS Addresses Increased Need for Commission AMI Education

    RALEIGH, N.C., September 18 /CNW/ - Elster Integrated Solutions (EIS),
part of Elster Group, announces the appointment of Ed Gray as the vice
president of Regulatory Affairs. Ed is responsible for establishing and
maintaining a highly favorable regulatory environment for advanced metering
solutions. In this capacity, Ed will work with utility regulatory staff and
regulators to facilitate greater understanding of advanced metering
infrastructure (AMI) technology.

    Ed has broad experience in electric utility regulation, technical project
management, research and development, international standards, and executive
sales. Ed has 30 years of electric utility experience, 16 of which have been
spent in the legislative and regulatory arena. Ed has held leadership
positions at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA),
Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),
and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) prior to joining Elster Integrated
Solutions. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Science from the U.S. Naval Academy, and
an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Ohio State University. He was a junior
officer on two nuclear submarines in engineering and communications.
