VANCOUVER, April 26 /CNW/ - egX Group Inc. (formerly Global Financial
Group Inc.) reports the following additions and changes to its personnel.
Linda Cowan: Manager, Information Technology - egX Group.
Ms. Cowan has 15 years experience at the British Columbia Securities
Commission and Canadian Venture Exchange with Systems Operations & Business
continuity planning. Her responsibilities for egX Group include supporting the
corporate network and computer systems, corporate network and system security,
designing and supporting web-based applications for internal staff and
external stakeholders, and establishing Information Technology processes and
Marie Dickens: Manager, Finance & Administration - egX Group.
Ms. Dickens has 16 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, 12 years as
CFO/COO in recreation and tourism with an emphasis on operations. In this
role, Ms. Dickens will oversee the operating aspects of the finance,
administration and human resources.
Denise Duifhuis: Legal Affairs, Global Strategies - egX Group.
Ms. Duifhuis has 17 years legal experience, primarily in corporate and
securities law, including 5 years with the British Columbia Securities
Commission. Ms. Duifhuis will provide legal advice to egX Group and to its
subsidiaries as they relate to development and expansion of the egX model
internationally. Ms. Duifhuis will analyze legal, regulatory and policy
requirements, draft, review and negotiate contracts and monitor securities
industry developments relating to joint ventures or other relationships for
the establishment of egX real estate marketplaces outside of Canada. She will
also provide legal support to other members of the General Counsel's office on
general corporate or regulatory matters as needed.
Melanie Cheesman: Corporate Counsel - egX Canada.
Ms. Cheesman has 7 years experience in a combination of corporate,
securities and real estate law gained as an associate at a large Vancouver law
firm and, subsequently, as in-house corporate counsel. Ms. Cheesman will
assist the egX Canada General Counsel in providing legal advice to the egX
Canada president and operating divisions, advising egX Canada senior
management and the egX Canada board on corporate governance policies and
director responsibilities, investigating legal issues, and drafting/reviewing
legal agreements and other documents.
Glenn Knowles: Manager, Communications - egX Canada.
Mr. Knowles has over 20 years financial services industry experience with
the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, Canadian Venture Exchange, Bank
of America, and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Knowles' responsibilities include: media
inquiries, internal and external communications, marketing material and web
Rosy Mondin: Vice President, Legal Affairs - egX Group.
Ms. Mondin has 10 years legal experience, 7 years in corporate law. In her
new role, Ms. Mondin is responsible for directing egX Group's legal practices
in coordination with the General Counsel of egX Canada. This includes
providing legal advice and recommendations to egX Group and its subsidiaries
with respect to on-going operations and business initiatives and the expansion
of egX marketplaces in and outside of Canada. She is also responsible for
drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, engaging and managing outside
counsel as required, participating in business development initiatives, and
representing the interests of egX Group and its subsidiaries in all legal
Len Schuman: Global Deployment Strategies.
egX Group is proceeding with the development and implementation of its
business model internationally to create a global market for real estate
securities under the egX brand. Pursuant to a marketing and license agreement
with egX Management and egX Markets, Mr. Schuman will provide services through
his company, operating under the name egX International, instead of providing
these services as President of egX Markets and Vice-President of egX Group.
Under this agreement, egX International will act as principal negotiator and
evaluate opportunities to establish joint ventures and/or similar arrangements
for the implementation of egX Marketplaces outside Canada. egX Group is
seeking to partner with both interested and responsible parties located in the
key international financial centers within Europe, the Middle-East, Asia
Pacific region, and the Americas. Mr. Schuman is an industry veteran with
30 years of global industry experience in financial markets, including
experience with securities and derivatives electronic trading platforms. He
will continue to serve as a member of the Company's Advisory Board.
Lease of Additional Space
The Company further reports that it has leased additional office space at
200 Granville Street in Vancouver, BC to accommodate its new personnel. The
Company continues its efforts to recruit industry professionals and veterans
to add to its already impressive list of personnel.

egX Group, through its wholly owned subsidiary egX Markets, is developing
the egX, a global securities exchange system designed for the listing and
trading of real estate securities. The Company will launch its first
marketplace in Canada under egX Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of egX
Group. Following the launch of egX in Canada, egX Group intends to develop its
model internationally, creating a global market for real estate securities.
