Edmonton Mayor presents FCM'S Canadian Women in Municipal Government Scholarship



    EDMONTON, Nov. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel will
present the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' 2007 Canadian Women in
Municipal Government scholarship to Edmonton resident Claire Dub on Nov.13.
    The presentation will take place at 9:30 a.m. in Edmonton city council
chambers before the start of the regularly scheduled city council meeting.
    Ms. Dub won the $1,000 scholarship for her research paper, "Whose Voice?
An Analysis of the Ongoing Struggles of Women in Canadian Politics," which
examines why more women do not run for political office.
