'Long Road Out of Eden' Sells More than 50,000 Albums,
Goes Gold in Just Nine Days
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Wal-Mart Canada Corp. has announced that
yesterday it sold its 50,000th copy of the Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" -
released Oct. 30 exclusively at Wal-Mart. In just nine days, the album has
achieved gold status, becoming the current best-selling album in Canada, and
Wal-Mart Canada's best-selling music product since it began business in 1994.
The two-disc set of 20 new songs is available in Wal-Mart's Canadian stores
for $11.88, an equivalent price to Wal-Mart U.S. stores.

Wildlife Fund and Forest Ethics. This unique CD package contains 30 percent
post-consumer recycled fiber, and virgin fiber from FSC Certified forests or
other controlled sources.
The Eagles - Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit -
have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and have won four Grammy
Awards. "Eagles, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" is the best-selling album of
all time, exceeding sales of 29 million units. The band's "Hotel California"
and their "Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 2" have sold more than 16 and 11
million albums, respectively. Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall
