Discovery Air Inc. announces appointments of Director and Executive Vice President



    LONDON, ON, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - David Taylor, Chairman and C.E.O. of
Discovery Air Inc. (TSX: DA.A), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave
Jennings as a director of Discovery Air and the appointment of Chuck Parker as
Executive Vice President, Special Projects.
    Dave Jennings, co-CEO of Top Aces Inc, has joined the Board of Directors
of Discovery Air. Top Aces is one of Discovery Air's subsidiaries, acquired on
August 24, 2007. Top Aces is an approved supplier to the Canadian federal
government of airborne training services to the Department of National
Defence.
    As one of the co-founders of Top Aces, Mr. Jennings was responsible for
growing Top Aces to a $35 Million a year business in just three short years.
Prior to co-founding Top Aces, Mr. Jennings served in the Canadian Forces,
where he was the youngest CF-18 fighter pilot when he began flying the CF-18
at 21 years old. Mr. Jennings is a graduate of the elite Canadian Forces
Fighter Weapons Instructor Course (FWIC), the Canadian equivalent of the "Top
Gun" school.
    Mr. Taylor stated, "Mr. Jennings will bring a unique and valuable
operational and business viewpoint to the Board of Discovery Air. We look
forward to his contributions."
    Additionally, the Board of Directors of Discovery Air has approved the
appointment of Chuck Parker as Executive Vice-President, Special Projects. Mr.
Parker will take office later this year when he completes his role as Deputy
Minister for the Government of the Northwest Territories. Mr. Parker will
continue to live in the Northwest Territories and will be responsible for
co-ordinating Discovery Air's organic growth in the North.
    Mr. Taylor commented, "Mr. Parker's vast experience in the Northwest
Territories includes exposure to oil and gas and minerals projects. Also,
through his many assignments with the Government of the Northwest Territories,
he has demonstrated his ability to develop and lead large, complex
initiatives. Mr. Parker's skills will greatly benefit Discovery Air and we are
very pleased that he has accepted a position with the company."
