Director and Trustee Filmon Resigns From Pollard Banknote Boards

WINNIPEG, Jan. 9 /CNW/ - Pollard Banknote announces that the Honourable
Gary Filmon has resigned from his duties as a Director for Pollard Banknote
Limited, general partner of Pollard Banknote Limited Partnership, and as a
Trustee for Pollard Banknote Income Fund. The effective date of Mr. Filmon's
resignation was December 31, 2008.
Mr. Filmon, a former Manitoba Premier who serves on a number of boards,
cited time commitments as the reason for his resignation. He served with
Pollard Banknote Limited's Board of Directors and Board of Trustees since the
Fund's initial public offering in August, 2005.
Pollard Banknote Limited's Governance and Nominating Committee has
identified a potential candidate to replace Mr. Filmon as Director and
Trustee. A formal announcement of this appointment will be made upon the
confirmation of the candidate's eligibility with gaming regulators.
"With Pollard Banknote strongly poised for continued growth in 2009 and
beyond, I feel this is a good time to step down. With strong leadership, the
organization's future is in good hands," said Mr. Filmon. "It has been a
pleasure to serve with Pollard Banknote over the years. I look forward to
following the company's growth and prosperity in the years ahead."
"We will miss Gary's insight and innovative ideas on how the company can
maximize its performance," said Lawrie Pollard, Chairman of the Board. "We are
thankful for Gary's contributions and wish him and his family the best. I feel
privileged to say I have worked with him."
Once Mr. Filmon's replacement has been confirmed, Pollard Banknote
Limited's Board of Directors will be comprised of seven Directors, while three
Trustees will serve on Pollard Banknote Income Fund's Board of Trustees.
