Devine Entertainment Announces World Premiere of Critically Acclaimed Primetime Miniseries "Across the River to Motor City" on November 22

Highly Anticipated Mystery-Conspiracy Series from Emmy Award Winning
Producers to Debut on Citytv Stations throughout Canada

    TORONTO, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Devine Entertainment Corporation (OTCBB:DVNNF -
News), capitalizing on the burgeoning global demand for high quality film and
television content, has announced that the Company's primetime mystery series
"Across the River to Motor City" will premier next month on November 22, 2007,
on Canada's Citytv network, one of Canada's major television networks, airing
on stations throughout the country. The series represents Devine's first foray
into primetime entertainment targeting the mainstream adult age audience,
building upon its award-winning success as a producer of family and children's
film and television.
Critics and entertainment reporters at Canada's largest newspapers have
cited Devine's "Across the River to Motor City" as one of the current season's
most anticipated new series. TV critic Rob McKenzie of Canada's "National
Post" named the series one of the new fall season's 10 best.
"Across the River to Motor City" is a mini-series spanning two eras, two
countries and two unforgettable characters. The story begins on November 22,
1963, the day Ben Ford is planning to propose to his girlfriend, Katie. But
Katie disappears on the same day President John F. Kennedy is assassinated,
and the mystery is never solved. Decades later, Katie's remains are
discovered, and Ben, now a private investigator with a lifetime of secrets, is
accused of murder and drawn back into his own troubled past. The story is set
in Detroit, MI, and Windsor, Ont., both in the present day and in the 1960s.
The premiere date of November 22 is the 44th anniversary of JFK's
assassination.
"The premiere of "Across the River to Motor City," our first primetime
series, is an important milestone for us," said David Devine, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Devine Entertainment. "It's an important symbol of
our growth and evolution as a producer and distributor of television and film
content for all age demographics."
The Citytv network is owned by Rogers Media, Canada's premier collection
of category-leading media assets with businesses in radio and television
broadcasting, televised shopping, publishing and sports entertainment.
"Across the River to Motor City" is a joint production of Devine
Entertainment and Jonsworth Productions. Executive producers David Devine and
Richard Mozer have been nominated for a combined 27 Emmy and Gemini Awards for
their dramatic filmmaking with Devine Entertainment. Robert Wertheimer, with
Jonsworth Productions, has been involved in over 150 hours of television and
20 made-for-television features. The series stars David Fox, Sasha Roiz, Anne
Openshaw and Howard Jerome.
