Dessau accepts Frank Zampino's resignation

MONTREAL, April 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Dessau Inc. announces that Frank
Zampino, who served as the firm's senior vice-president and chief financial
officer since January 12, has tendered his resignation. The resignation was
regretfully accepted and takes effect immediately.
Mr. Zampino agreed with Dessau's senior management team that even if he
did not intervene in the awarding of a contract to the GENIeau consortium
while he was a member of the city of Montreal's executive committee, it was
preferable for him to step down so that the controversy over his previous
responsibilities in no way affects the firm's integrity and its ability to
execute its business plan.
Dessau thanks Mr. Zampino for his contribution to the firm during his
tenure as chief financial officer and wishes him the best of luck in his
future professional pursuits.
The contract obtained by the GENIeau consortium to optimize the water
distribution network and install water meters at industries, businesses and
institutions on the Island of Montreal follows a public call for tenders that
was based on a statement of work prepared by the appropriate municipal
services, with assistance from external professionals with complementary
expertise.
In its response to the statement of work, GENIeau respected all rules
applying to the call for tenders and made every effort to develop a proposal
that was technically sound and economically competitive, given the challenge
posed by the innovative nature of this call for tenders, aimed at better
management of water distribution across Montreal.
If requested to do so, Dessau will fully cooperate with the city of
Montreal's auditor as part of his examination of the contract awarded to
GENIeau.
