Delta Hotels is "a home for the holidays" this festive season



    TORONTO, Nov. 22 /CNW/ - Capturing the true spirit of holiday giving,
Delta Hotels will again offer complimentary accommodation to family members
caring for hospitalized relatives, through its annual program, A Home for the
Holidays, now in its 18th year. Delta's hotels will partner with local
hospitals to extend complimentary short-term stays between mid-December and
early January (dates vary according to hotel).
    "Being with family is important at this time of the year, although for
some that is not possible when a loved one is hospitalized. Through A Home for
the Holidays, we try to give families some comfort during what can be a very
stressful time," says Hank Stackhouse, president of Delta Hotels.
    The hospital's program administrator will make reservations for qualified
visitors with the participating hotel or resort. A complete list of both

    A Home for the Holidays has assisted thousands of families since its
launch in 1990, and is a core program of Delta Cares, the company's corporate
social responsibility platform. Other year-round activities include those
benefiting Delta's national charity partner, Special Olympics Canada,
Adopt-a-Shelter, which partners hotels with local women's shelters, and
participation in the Hotel Associations of Canada's Green Key Eco-Rating
program.
