Delay in the opening of Calypso Park

OTTAWA, Jan. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Management of Calypso Park, which will
become Canada's largest water park, announced today that it must delay the
opening of its future recreational and tourism complex until early summer
2010. Located in the municipality of La Nation in the United Counties of
Prescott and Russell, this project involves investments of close to $40
million and should generate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic
benefits for the greater National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario.

    Construction well under way

The President & CEO of the group and project's promoter, Guy Drouin,
stated that some steps of the project have been completed or are being
completed. In particular, several buildings have already been built. The site
of the future water park already features a number of sliding structures, as
well as an enormous concrete basin that will be the wave pool. Financially,
over fifty percent (50%) of the project's total costs have already been
invested.

The reality of a seasonal business

For a seasonal business like a water park, an August opening is
strategically unthinkable. In fact, the two-month delay built up over last
summer is hard to make up and means that the official opening must be held up
until summer 2010. "We don't want to give vacationers a half-finished water
park. We want their first experience at Calypso Park to be extraordinary and
magical," says Mr. Drouin.

    Calypso: Canada's largest water park

In early June 2010, the water park-whose themed attractions will be
unique- will offer more than 35 slides, a themed adventure river, an
impressive wave pool three times the size of an NHL rink, plus a hundred water
games. There will also be several restaurants, terraces and landscaped picnic
areas. The economic benefits of Calypso Park are estimated at over $750 M over
the first 10 years of operation; the park will also create 550 full-time
seasonal jobs, as well as substantial tax revenues for all levels of
government.
