TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2016 /CNW/ - With over 1,200 submissions from 33 countries around the world, DECK Agency's web designs for Kasa Moto and The Chase Fish & Oyster have won Platinum recognition in the 2016 Muse Creative Awards.
The Muse Creative Awards are an international competition for creative professionals who follow the spark of an inner muse, lighting the path to success with deep knowledge and shining originality. The winning websites were designed for longtime DECK client Chase Hospitality Group (CHG), which owns and operates five highly acclaimed restaurants in Toronto.
For KasaMoto.ca, DECK's creative team found inspiration in the Japanese restaurant's contemporary interiors. On-site design elements - wallpaper and wall tiles, a black iron screen, a commissioned painting of koi fish, marble countertops, and black and white floor tiles - were repurposed as backgrounds and layering elements on the website. Reflecting Kasa Moto's day-to-night concept, when users scroll below bright white menus, they arrive at a starry night sky.
To introduce The Chase Fish & Oyster's beach-inspired experience, thechasefo.com opens with a full-screen photograph of the ocean in which the camera is partially submerged. To convey the playful side of the restaurant's brand identity, the unique angle of this image places the viewer directly in the water. The lighthearted maritime theme is continued with an illustrated "How To Shuck An Oyster" section and circular-framed food imagery that suggests the view out a ship's window.
