announce the election of Alnashir (Nash) Lakha as Chair of the Board of
The Dairy Processors Association of Canada-Association des
Transformateurs Laitiers du Canada (DPAC/ATLC) is Canada's national industry
association representing the public policy and regulatory interests of the
Canadian dairy processing interests. DPAC-ATLC represents the dairy processing
industry to the Government of Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Canadian Dairy
Commission and federal and provincial government agencies. Quality, food
safety, consumer choice, as well as industry innovation and growth are the
principle areas of DPAC-ATLC activity.
Mr. Lakha is President and CEO of Parmalat Canada. Mr. Lakha has a
27 year history working at the Parmalat group of companies where he has been
instrumental in a leadership role of securing Parmalat's position as one of
Canada's pre-eminent food and dairy producers. Mr. Lakha has held
progressively senior positions at Parmalat including Chief Financial Officer
Parmalat Canada, Chief Financial Officer Parmalat USA, Vice President Planning
DPAC-ATLC represents the dairy processing industry employing almost
26,000 people employed at the primary processing level, producing table milk,
fresh cream, butter, cheese, yogurt and ice cream products valued at
$11 billion annually.
