Dada Shows Strong International Financial Presence, in First Half 2007



    $99 Million in Earnings with 44% Coming from International Business

    NEW YORK, September 12 /CNW/ - Dada S.p.A. (MTAX STAR: DA.MI), an
international leader in the provision of Web and mobile community and
entertainment services, and parent company of Dada USA, reported its earnings
for the first half of 2007 ending June 30th with revenue up 50% percent
year-over-year to $99.73 million (Euro 73.3 million). The strong revenue
growth was fueled by Dada's international activities representing 44% of
overall sales compared with 34% in the first half of 2006.

    "Dada has done a great job penetrating foreign markets by offering the
consumer a fun and innovative way to connect with friends through the internet
or their mobile phones," said Max Pellegrini, CEO of Dada USA. "We have
generated close to $100 million in revenue in the first half of 2007 and I
expect even stronger results in the second half thanks to our new venture with
Sony. With the creation of Dada Entertainment LLC in partnership with Sony BMG
along with 40,000 new subscribers a day, Dada is positioned to become a top
provider of web and mobile based entertainment services."

    US traffic to the Dada website has increased 405% since January 2007(1).
Dada is now the 537th most visited website in the "Computers and Internet -
Net Communities and Chat" category for the week ending September 1st 2007,
moving up 233 spots within the rankings.

    Other Key Financial Results Include:

    --  EBITDA increased to $14.01 million (Euro 10.3 million), an increase
from $9.79 million in the first half of 2006, despite strong investments made
for launching international activities and the development of the Dada.net
community, which today numbers more than 8 million users from 30 countries,
with an average daily increase of 40,000 new subscribers globally.

    --  EBIT at $10.47 million (Euro 7.7 million) and equal to 11% of
consolidated sales compared to $3.53 million (Euro 2.6 million) in the first
half of 2006.

    --  Net Profit amounts to $8.843 million (Euro 6.5 million), compared to
$6.12 million (Euro 4.5 million), registered in the second quarter of 2006 and
equal to 9% of consolidated revenues.

    --  Net financial position as at June 30, 2007 rose to $23.1 million
(Euro 17 million), growing by 44% compared with data from December 31, 2006.

    Dada closed the second quarter with two strategic business development
deals. Dada acquired of 100% of the shares of the UK company Namesco, a market
leader in domains and hosting. Dada also lead the creation of the joint
venture "Dada Entertainment LLC," a cooperative venture between Dada and SONY
BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT aimed at developing a new entertainment services
offering accessible via web and mobile devices.
