VANCOUVER, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - CY Oriental Holdings Ltd. (TSX-V: CYO) ("CY

products to leading international brands and retailers, today announced that
its new manufacturing plant in Tengzhou, China, completed its first shipment
in December 2007, fulfilling an order for branded fashion apparel company,
"The commencement of shipments from our world-class facility in Tengzhou
is a significant milestone achieved under our strategic objective to expand
our production capacity," said Ping Chen, Chairman, President and CEO of the
Company. "Importantly, our shipment to Diesel demonstrates that our Tengzhou
plant is ready for regular commercial production and marks the beginning of
CY's growth period. Leading international brands and retailers have endorsed
the quality and exceptional technical capabilities of our Tengzhou plant.
These endorsements combined with our additional capacity enable CY to fulfill
additional demand from existing customers, pursue new business and positions
us well to capitalize on the opportunities expected to be generated by the
removal of the European Union's apparel import quotas at the beginning of this
year. Our capacity at Tengzhou will continue to ramp up in the coming months
and we expect the remaining two sewing workshops under Phase I of Tengzhou to
be fully operational by the end of the first quarter of 2008."
