    TORONTO, and BURBANK, CA, Sept. 6 /CNW/ - As the 2007 Toronto
International Film Festival begins, CTV President of Programming Susanne Boyce
and Warner Bros. International Television President Jeffrey R. Schlesinger
have announced that CTV has secured an exclusive, multiplatform content
package for TMZ, the massively popular entertainment brand, anchored by
TMZ.com and a new daily entertainment series. The deal - brokered by Boyce on
behalf of CTV and with WBITV represented by Mickie Steinmann, Vice President &
General Manager, Canadian Operations - cements CTV's position as Canada's
leading entertainment news source and complements CTV's existing Canadian
entertainment properties. CTV and its No. 1 suite of entertainment properties
- including Star!, CTV.ca and The CTV Broadband Network - will have exclusive
access to TMZ-branded television content in Canada. TMZ - the new daily,
30-minute entertainment series based on the No. 1 entertainment website,
TMZ.com - will air weeknights at 11:30 p.m. ET on Star! and at 1 a.m. ET on
CTV beginning this coming Monday, September 10.

    The deal gives CTV the Canadian broadcast rights to the daily
entertainment news series as well as exclusive access to TMZ content -
stories, sources, photos and video - for use in Canada. Additionally, content
from TMZ.com will be available on CTV.ca, which will be updated around the
clock through a 24/7 newsfeed. As well as airing on CTV and Star!, TMZ will be
available on The CTV Broadband Network at CTV.ca, where episodes will be
available on demand.
