TORONTO, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - Following on the heels of its impressive, No. 1
debut last Thursday, So You Think You Can Dance Canada once again danced away
as the No. 1 show Sunday night, as 1.23 million tuned in at 8 p.m. for the
second episode of Canada's newest homegrown hit. SYTYCDC outpaced Global's
second-to-last episode of Big Brother (781,000, down 31% with viewers P2+
since last week) and back-to-back animated comedies Family Guy (359,000) and
American Dad (262,000) on Global.
Additional highlights include:
- SYTYCDC on CTV was the No. 1 program of the day with P2+, A18-49,
A25-54 nationally and in Vancouver and Toronto/Hamilton
- SYTYCDC grew from the first to the second hour, peaking with
1.5 million viewers at 9:32 p.m.
- 3.7 million Canadians watched part of the two-hour SYTYCDC episode
So You Think You Can Dance Canada continues, with audition highlights
from Montreal and Calgary, Wednesday, September 17 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV. Encore
presentations of audition episodes air on MuchMusic Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
