- Clark to host CTV Newsnet's marquee daily political program -
TORONTO, Jan. 23 /CNW/ - Robert Hurst, President of CTV News and Current
Affairs, announced today that Tom Clark will leave his current post as CTV's
Washington Bureau Chief and return to Ottawa to anchor CTV Newsnet's daily
marquee political program, currently called ON THE HILL. As Parliament opens,
Clark will be on Parliament Hill preparing for his new role. An official start
date for his new program will be announced later.

In addition to anchoring the 5 p.m. show, Clark will anchor CTV Newsnet
specials and will continue as a backup anchor for CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LLOYD
"Tom is one of Canada's preeminent journalists with many years of
domestic and foreign bureau experience," said Robert Hurst. "With his long
history of covering politics in Canada and his strong connections on
Parliament Hill, he is an excellent choice for this position."

reported on the recent Presidential campaign every step of the way. He caps
his time in Washington off on a high note, having anchored CTV's Inauguration
Special on January 20, 2009.
